\u201cThere\u2019s no substitute for nature.\u201d<\/strong>
\nCommitment to the environment has always been our deepest belief, and today more than ever we believe
\nthat values must be translated into concrete actions.
\nWe live in a beautiful place, surrounded by nature and mountains
\nour lives since childhood so much so that, for those born in Valsesia<\/a>, seeing
\nseeing the world from above is almost a physical need. The river Sesia, from which
\nwhich the valley derives its name, and the nearby lakes Orta and Maggiore are important
\nwater sources, a natural heritage to preserve and protect. That\u2019s why in June
\n2022 we joined the Ecomuseum of Lake Orta and Mottarone in the
\n\u201cLake Contract for Cusio\u201d.
\nWe want to be not just a support, but also an example
\nfor our employees and for other companies, thus be part of an
\nactive movement.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

What is a \u201cLake Contract\u201d?<\/strong>
\nThe \u201cLake Contract for Cusio\u201d is a project born to bring together various subjects,
\nmunicipalities, private companies, associations and citizens,
\nthat all agree to achieve common targets of safeguarding of the territory, in its broadest sense.
\nLike all river or lake contracts, it constitutes a working method
\nfor the integrated and participatory management
\nof water resources.
\nThe \u201cLake Contract for Cusio\u201d draws energy directly from its subscribers who,
\ntheir individual actions, collectively agreed
\nensure that the environmental issues (and not only) of the territory are addressed
\naddressed with the necessary attention,
\nSustainable and sustainable development that respects the commitment to the environment.
\nSince early 1900s Lake Orta
\nhas been severely affected by industrial pollution
\nthat altered and almost completely destroyed the lake ecosystem. Industrial wastes caused progressive water acidification
\nacidification and increased concentration
\nof heavy metals
\nAfter an intensive multi-year study,
\nthe lake was limed in 1989 and 1990, in order to neutralize the pH
\nand precipitate the heavy metals This intervention, together with the collection
\nof the industrial and civil wastes, has allowed to restore
\na good chemical quality of the lake water and to recover the ecosystem. This restoration programme is still today
\nthe largest lake recovery effort in the world.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Our sense of responsibility towards the territory leads us, on the one hand,
\nto take all steps to make the production process<\/a> (life
\nof the company!) respectful of the surrounding environment and,
\non the other hand, to pay attention and actively participate in those initiatives aimed to raise
\nawareness about environmental protection issues
\nand remedy man-made damage.
\nNo less important is the attention to the potential
\npotential impact of the products we place on the market and
\ntheir influence on people\u2019s lives.
\nFor those like us who have always worked with copper alloys, sustainability
\nis embodied in our daily commitment and reality rather than being a goal.
\nThe copper recycling process is highly efficient;
\n; it is estimated that only 0.5% of all the copper used is absolutely unrecoverable.
\n80% of all the copper mined in the history of mankind
\nstill in use in various forms. As for the quality of the material obtained
\nfrom recycling, recycled copper has the same chemical,
\nTherefore it isn\u2019t subject to any limitations of use or decrease in value.
\nThe energy savings that derive from bypassing
\nthe extraction and refining processes
\nmust also be considered
\nHaving a long industrial history behind us, it seemed natural to us
\nto address the approach to the use of plastic materials
\nwith a view to optimally grasp and harmonize the most advantageous aspects of both traditional
\nand innovative materials No revolution in sight therefore
\nbut a conscious and careful use of plastic materials, convinced
\nthat progress does not imply the search for novelty as an end in itself, but
\nconsists in making better products from all points of view,
\nalways looking for the best performance in complete safety
